Vote for the Worst American Idol

The motto of this website says it best and leaves nothing left for me to say. Read on and please, Vote For The Worst :))
"We're back! was started in 2004 to support voting for the entertaining contestants who the producers would hate to see win on American Idol. Why do we do it? During the initial auditions, the producers of Idol only let certain people through. Many good people are turned away and many bad singers are kept around to see Simon, Paula, and Randy so that America will be entertained.

Now why do the producers do this? It's simple: American Idol is not about singing at all, it's about making good reality TV and enjoying the cheesy, guilty pleasure of watching bad singing. We agree that a fish out of water is entertaining, and we want to acknowledge this fact by encouraging people to make an even funnier show by helping the amusing antagonists stick around. VFTW sees keeping these contestants around as a golden opportunity to make a funnier show."

  1. I can't believe that this website is for real. I agree that American Idol is a entertaining reality show and that some really good singers don't make it, but the really "BAD" ones don't make it either. To vote for the worst person deprives the really great singers from having a chance of living their dream or depletes their self-confidence by losing to someone who cannot sing. To vote for the worst right now, we all know who that is, is just ridiculous. He is not entertaining at all!! Also, he now knows that people will vote for him regardless of what he does, so he is making a mockery of the show. I've watched this show since season one and I always thought the votes were reasonably fair to the contestants, please stop degrading the show in this way! It is a great opportunity for those who can sing and will probably never be given a chance otherwise.

"but the really bad ones don't make it either."

Sanjaya! Antonella! This list goes on and on!

American Idol has become a joke. These are the people that the judges "vote" to be on the show. Half of them cannot even sing. And another percentage have absolutely NO personality.

Though I disagree with the actions of I believe that their views are correct.
AND, the deletion of their first website was absolutely disgusting! This is completely violation of the first ammendment! American Idol has brainwashed America into thinking that it's okay to ignore the constitution.

If American Idol is so honorable, than why are these "bad" singers on the stage in the first place? Why are bad singers allowed to be on TV, if the prodcuers/judges are looking for the best of the best? Why do we see so many great singers/ entertainers voted off [ex. CHRIS DAUGHTRY; BO BICE; CONSTANTINE; MADISA; CHRIS SLIGH] I'll tell you why: because it makes interesting television.

Nobody should take this competition seriously anymore.
    American Idol is a disgrace!!!

  3. this website is bullshit. get a life. if you dont like the show then dont watch it, you dont have to ruin it for everyone who does like.

  4. okay, vote for the little weasel, see how many cd's he sells - NONE. Making a complete joke out of this must give you some kind of power trip - good for you, you sick fool

  5. Why are some people so happy to take an enjoyable show off the air?

This would virtually close down all reality shows where the final results are made by America.

You cannot deny that some great singers have won and it's great they have been given the chance.

The people that did not "win" still have made out pretty good - so vote honestly and if Sanjaya is doog enough someone will pick him up and marketable such as Jennifer Hudson, Chris Daughtry, Bo Bice etc.

I think that Rock Star had better singers on it and if it is ever shown again-I would hope nobody makes a joke of it!

    Mary Ann

  6. Rock Star does have better singers per se and given that I like Rock a lot, I prefer watching it over American Idol. Comparing the two is like comparing chalk and cheese though. It's the classic difference between a cult favorite and a commercial success - the performances on Idol have taken the back seat; instead, more time is bandying about how the participants prepared, or airing commercials...
